Different ways to accept on-site registration.

For many tournament organizers, on-site registration is a necessity. There are multiple means to do this within the start.gg tournament admin: via the attendees list, bulk add together, and directly on the bracket. This article also goes over how to create and add attendees for organizers using the Death Pool format!

IMPORTANT Notation: Having a start.gg account is NOT required to participate in a tournament. You can add a "Player", which is a placeholder for the attendee to participate in the subclass. They tin can accept information technology linked to an account afterwards by emailing support@first.gg! However, information technology is highly recommended that when registering players on-site that yous await up the right user account especially if that attendee is participating in a ladder event, or that event that is role of a circuit.

Click on the "Add together Attendee" push button on the "Attendees List" folio.

Forgot to add together an attendee: add together directly on the bracket

When using this method, the added player will be placed in the bracket as the last seed. Brand sure to adjust the seeding after calculation the histrion.
Adding a player via this method must be washed earlier any sets accept been reported. Once a set is reported the bracket becomes "locked". Yous can simply add new players by restarting the pool or stage

Go to the "Bracket" tab nether "Reporting" within the tournament admin.

Expiry Pools

Expiry pools are a way to take on-site registration without affecting the pools or bracket generated for those that pre-registered.

A common use-case for this format type is to take anyone who pre-registered play in the regular pools phase, and anyone who enters at the door is placed into the decease pool. Only the winner of the decease pool advances into the top "x" subclass.

Listed below are instructions on how to create and add together attendees for this format:

Create a death pool phase on the "Subclass Setup" page by clicking on "Add Stage".
Once full general registration has ended, make the death pool the default phase in "Bracket Setup".

Via the "Attendees List" folio, manually add together attendees at the door.
Make sure to pay attention to the phase yous are calculation them to! You lot desire to make sure the "Death Pool" phase is selected.
